L’Arche Tahoma Hope is a nonprofit organization located in the South Puget Sound region of WA state. We are a person-centered and relationship-focused organization that works with people with and without intellectual disabilities. We aim to create a culture and society where we celebrate the vulnerabilities of what it means to be human and integrate inclusive practices for people of all abilities. We share life in our 3 group homes, in our vocational and activity programs and in our outreach efforts with immersion programming and gatherings.
Job Brief
The Mission Experience Coordinator is responsible for coordinating events and gatherings that connect people, both within and outside the organization, to our mission. This includes the coordination of volunteers, the planning and execution of small gatherings, the planning and support of staff reflection meetings based on the work of L’Arche, and the coordination and execution of “immersion experiences” that offer 1-7 day experiences for people wanting to connect, learn from, and grow with LTH.
Serving as a member of the Development team, this position is focused on nurturing and expanding LTH’s relationships, coordinating mission-focused experiences that turn into revenue generating opportunities, and growing our connection to and impact in the wider community.
This is a fully on-site role. Some evenings and weekends will be required.
Key Qualities
- Deep understanding of the mission of L’Arche and able to facilitate experiences of the mission
- Flexible with an ability to quickly adapt to changing needs
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Experience working with volunteers and groups of people
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
Wage Range
Wage Range $23.00-$27.00/hour, full time, non-exempt
