Auction, 2025
I’d like to thank our incredible supporters for attending and donating to our annual auction. This year you helped us raise over $225,000 and we are incredibly grateful for both the financial support and your presence with us last March.
If you didn’t get a chance to see the auction video about this year’s Bill Downey Award Winner Donna Smith, you can find that here. Volunteers like Donna make an incredible difference in the lives of our core members. Donna truly has been “the person who stays” for Nancy.
A Big Welcome to Todd!
There have been many changes at L’Arche Farm and Gardens over the last two years. This spring we welcomed Todd Faulkner as our Outreach and Programs Director. In addition to his work with the Welcome Center programming, Todd will be working closely, alongside the other Directors, with the Farm Visioning Committee as they finish their work and make recommendations for the future of the farm this summer. Please be sure to welcome Todd when you see him in the community!
We also welcomed two lovely visitors from De Ark Haarlem in Holland this spring. Marc Wopereis and Lisette Tel are founding members of the L’Arche in Holland and are touring the L’Arche communities in the U.S. and Canada. We really enjoyed their visit and the connection to our international neighbors.
Finally, I would invite you to reach out to Congress in support of continued Medicaid funding. Many of our core members rely on this funding to cover their medical costs and the proposed cuts would make it much more difficult for L’Arche Tahoma Hope to continue providing the wrap-around community care we currently offer.
