L’Arche Tahoma Hope is made up of people with differing abilities, religions and cultures who have chosen to come together to create home by building relationship through work, play and prayer.
While it takes all types of support to make our community run smoothly, there is no doubt that the residential assistants and the core members (people with intellectual disabilities) at L’Arche Tahoma Hope are the foundation of our life together.
Residential assistants support core members with activities of daily living – everything from brushing teeth to medical appointments, going to church and staying in touch with friends. They work with a team to run a household – grocery shopping, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc. These ordinary things have the potential to create an atmosphere of transformation in the context of relationship.
If you are interested in becoming a residential assistant (or know someone who is interested), you can find out more by visiting our Full Time Assistant Job Posting.
