Combined

In Memory

One of the richest, yet most difficult, events in life is accompanying a person to his/her death. We have lost a number of former core members, assistants and long time volunteers to death over the years, and we feel their presence watching over us in our community life.

We have also had the priviledge of accompanying 6 core members to their death while in our community. Each person passed in their own way, in the same way that each person lived their life in their own way. One thing that holds true for all of the experiences, however, was the profound sense of blessing and connectedness that was given to the community during those passages.

Below are reflections on the life and death of each of these much-loved core members.
